The itinerary around Sasso Pütia takes you through varying terrain of tremendous beauty, including craggy slopes and open fields. It is a vibrant plant world rich in colour and form (a carpet of plant life), while animal life too abounds: alpine newts in the forest pools, chamois among the mountain pine, marmots in the stony glacial areas. In the canyon of the Moibach the layers of the pre-dolomite period can be identified.

Itinerary: Passo delle Erbe - Forcella del Putia - Passo Göma - Passo delle Erbe

This ring-route itinerary is magnificent, and can be taken in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction. It offers a variety of natural wonders and superb panoramas. From the Passo delle Erbe car park (2,006 m) you can reach the western slope of Sasso Putia by passing through Prati di Campaccio. Then you ascend to Forcella del Putia (2,357 m). After a short and steep descent, a section of mild ups and downs follows which brings you to Passo Göma (2,111 m). Continue on through woods, mountain pines and fields until you arrive at Prati di Campaccio (north of Sasso Putia), where you can return to the car park.
